2. Principle: No Data Collection by the Developer

Simple Notes Sync does not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal data to the developer or third parties. The app contains no analytics libraries, tracking SDKs, advertising networks, or crash reporting services.

3. Local Data Storage

All notes are stored exclusively on the user's device. The developer has no access to this data.

4. Synchronization (WebDAV)

The app offers optional synchronization via the WebDAV protocol. The user configures their own WebDAV server of choice (e. g., a self-hosted server or a service like Nextcloud). The connection is established exclusively between the user's device and the server chosen by the user. The developer has no access to this connection or the transmitted data at any time.

5. Internet Permission

The app requires the INTERNET permission to perform optional WebDAV synchronization. This permission is used exclusively for the connection to the user-configured server. There is no communication with the developer's servers.

6. Local Backup

The app offers optional export and import functionality (JSON file, optionally encrypted). This data leaves the device only if the user actively exports it and shares it themselves.

7. No Sharing with Third Parties

Since no data is collected, no data is shared with third parties.

8. User Rights

Since the developer does not process any personal data, there are no data protection rights for information, correction, or deletion claims in relation to the developer. Inquiries can nevertheless be directed at any time by email to admin@dettmer.dev.

9. Open Source

Simple Notes Sync is free and open-source software (License: AGPL-3.0). The complete source code is available at: github.com/inventory69/simple-notes-sync.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if there are material changes to the app. The date of the last update is provided below.
